As you know, I’m currently working my way through all my favourite pop songs and musicals to put together next term’s repertoire for Express Yourself Pop Choir. Our first rehearsal is Monday 9th January 2017 and we always welcome new members with open arms so pop along to Lyppard Hub, Warndon Villages, Worcester WR4 0SY. We’re a community choir so there are no auditions and everyone is welcome.
A couple of years ago I organised choir trip to London to see Matilda. It was a fantastic day and an amazing show. There are so many great songs but I have a particular soft spot for Naughty and the super cute When I Grow Up.
I love watching this medley of the two songs from a Royal Variety Performance.
We don’t need to beg you to come to pop choir! Not after you’ve seen how much fun we have!
So how about you come and try us out this Monday at 7:30pm at Lyppard Grange Community Centre.
Here’s a little taste of what we’ll be doing…
No!! Don’t be silly! I haven’t got any daft New Year’s Resolutions involving running!
My New Year’s Resolution is to sing more… is that even possible?
If your resolution is to do something new, something musical, something fun or perhaps something “Just for you”, then come along to Express Yourself Pop Choir. We meet at 7:30pm every Monday in term-time at Lyppard Grange Community Centre, Worcester, WR4 0SY and sing fun pop songs and show tunes.
Here’s one by Kate Bush that we’ll be doing this week! Hope to see you there!
It’ll be a happy new year on 5th January 2015 when Express Yourself Pop Choir starts their new term.
Brand new year, brand new term and brand new songs.
There’s no better time to join us. Everyone is welcome. 7:30pm on Mondays at Lyppard Grange Community Centre, Worcester WR4 0DZ. £5 per week.
Call Helen on 01905 747827 or email email@example.com if you want to come and sing.

Express Yourself Pop Choir is taking a break now over the summer holidays but we’ll be back as usual on Monday nights at 7:30pm at Lyppard Grange Community Centre from Monday 1st September 2014
All new songs in September – so I’ll be busy over the summer break choosing the best of current and classic pop with some funky show tunes to add a bit of cheese!!
Have a great summer and see you in September!
So last night we had a record number of singers at Pop Choir! Because we’ve joined forces with the Show Tunes Choir!
Instead of coming out on two different nights for Pop Song and Show Tunes, you can now come to one all singing, all dancing (well not so much of the dancing!) super choir!!
No need to choose! Come and do both!!
Mondays at 7:30pm at Lyppard Grange Community Centre, Warndon Villages, Worcester WR4 0DZ. Give Helen a call on 01905 747827 if you’re interested in joining us!
See you there!!
I’ve been thinking ahead to the fifth anniversary show of Express Yourself Pop Choir this summer. It’s going to be a “best of” but oh my goodness, how to choose! I can’t quite believe we have learnt over 200 songs! We’ve had songs from all the decades from the 1950s right through to the hits of 2013!
Here are a couple of my favourites from the early 21st Century!
Beautiful by Christina Aguilera
Greatest Day by Take That
Make You Feel My Love by Adele
Reach by S Club 7
Valerie by Amy Winehouse
Watch this space as I choose my favourites from all the decades! If you want join our fun audition-free pop choir then get in touch. We meet every week in term time at Lyppard Grange Community Centre, Worcester. We’d love to have you!
It seems like only yesterday that I put up a little poster at Lyppard Grange Community Centre in Worcester, looking for like-minded singers to start a community choir.
Here we are 5 years later thinking about our fifth anniversary concert!
Well we have the date and the venue – now for the songs!
Over the last five years we have learnt over 200 fantastic pop songs and show tunes! I think we should make this anniversary concert a “Best of”.
So get your thinking caps on! Which songs have been your favourites?
Wow! Does anyone remember this picture?
This was taken for a Worcester News article just after we started Glee Club as a spin off from Pop Choir. We hadn’t even got our snazzy choir tops yet!
